This blog will talk about the Crown Chakra, known in Sanskrit as Sahasrara. This chakra is associated with your spirituality and overall spiritual balance. This is the seventh main charka and the third when talking about the chakras involved with spirit. It is associated with the element of the cosmos itself. The crown chakra is an embodiment of the source of light and creation.
This chakra is associated with a royal purple or a white color. Depending on where you look both colors may be interchangeable. Its light contains all colour vibrations united in the incomparable brilliance of pure light. This chakra’s lotus flower is represented with 1000 petals as the symbol of infinite.
This chakra is located above the crown of your head. It does not touch your head but is associated with the pineal gland located in the brain. Its gift is the transcendence of the individual self into true, mystical experience of unity and oneness. Through the Crown Chakra we can feel the connection to the whole Cosmos and are connected to the divine Source of creation.
The crown chakra is the final step to the path of transcendence. It deals with; God (or your particular belief system), spirituality, divine wisdom, enlightening, connection to the universe, imagination, awareness, and optimism.
The herbs and scents associated with this chakra are; Gotu Kola, Frankincense, Myrrh, Lavender, Columbine, Ginger and Sandalwood.
Being that this is the top charka is also affects the other 6 we have listed previously it primarily affects our energy and mental factors. Some signs of mental symptoms may include; living as though your life has no purpose or direction, general feelings of depression and anxiety, an unbalanced off-kilter type feeling that seems hard to get rid of, confusion, dementia, apathy, dogmatism, schizophrenia and materialism.
